Step 2 — Go to dltkk.toOpen dltkk.to in any browser. No login, no sign-up.
Step 3 — Paste and select formatPaste the URL. Select MP4 for video or MP3 to extract only the audio. For cross-posting to other platforms, MP4 is what you want.
Step 4 — DownloadClick Download. Your Short saves as a vertical 9:16 MP4 file ready to play or repost anywhere.

What Makes Shorts Different from Regular YouTube Videos

YouTube Shorts are vertical 9:16 format videos up to 3 minutes long, designed to compete with TikTok and Instagram Reels. They live at a different URL path (youtube.com/shorts/ID) and have their own player interface. Despite this, dltkk.to handles both Shorts and regular YouTube video URLs identically — the URL format is automatically detected and the appropriate content is retrieved. You do not need to modify the URL or use any special mode.

Downloading Shorts on iPhone

Open Safari on your iPhone and go to dltkk.to. Paste your Shorts URL and select MP4. After Download completes, tap the download arrow button in Safari's toolbar to find your file in the Safari downloads list. Tap the file, then tap the Share icon, and choose Save Video to add it to your Camera Roll. The Short saves as a standard vertical video file that plays correctly oriented in your Photos app. Full iPhone download guide: iPhone download guide.

Downloading Shorts on Android

Open Chrome on your Android device and go to dltkk.to. Paste the Shorts URL, select MP4, and tap Download. The file saves directly to your Downloads folder and appears in your Gallery app automatically, correctly oriented as a vertical video. No extra steps needed on Android.

Reposting YouTube Shorts to TikTok and Instagram

YouTube Shorts are already in the correct 9:16 vertical format for TikTok and Instagram Reels. After downloading, the MP4 file is immediately ready to upload without any editing or format conversion. Open TikTok, tap the plus button, select Upload, choose your downloaded Short, and post. On Instagram, tap the plus button, select Reel, choose your file, and post. The format and dimensions are already correct. See the dedicated cross-posting guide: YouTube Shorts to Instagram Reels.

Audio Only from YouTube Shorts

If you want only the audio track from a YouTube Short — a trending sound, a music clip, a spoken piece — select MP3 instead of MP4. The audio extracts as a standalone MP3 file, dramatically smaller than the full video and playable in any music app. Select FLAC instead of MP3 if you want lossless audio quality from the Short's audio content.

Batch Downloading Multiple Shorts

Use dltkk.to batch mode to download up to 10 YouTube Shorts at once. Collect all your Shorts URLs, switch to batch mode on dltkk.to, paste them one per line, select MP4, and download all simultaneously. All files save to your device without manual intervention between each one.

💡 Downloaded YouTube Shorts are in perfect 9:16 MP4 format — already sized for TikTok and Instagram Reels. No editing needed before reposting.
